Stand Up Paddle Boarding - July 14, 2018
Join us as we go to Granville Island to learn the basics of stand-up paddle boarding. This beginner course will teach you about the equipment used, how to stand up, and paddling techniques, and a paddle around Granville Island.
WHEN: Saturday July 14, 2018. The lesson is from 10AM - 12PM.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: Wear clothing that is easy to move in, and can get wet and dries quickly. You will be barefoot while on the board. Refillable water bottle, and snacks for after paddling. If you wish, clothes to change into after the paddle. Be mindful of the weather and bring the appropriate gear as we will be paddling rain or shine. Gear can include: a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen if it is sunny, or a rain jacket if it is rainy.
DEADLINE: Please register for this event by July 9, 2018.

Students: $20
Non- Students: $49
HOW TO GET THERE: You can get there by transit or driving. For transit, the closest bus is #50 False Creek South/ Waterfront Stn. You can catch this bus from Waterfront Station, or Granville Station from the Expo and Millennium Skytrain Lines, or from Olympic Village Station from the Canada Line.
If you are driving there is a combination of free and paid parking on Granville Island. These lots fill up fast so you will need to come early to get a spot. Parking costs are your responsibility.
