How do I register for an event?
To register for an Active KSA event, there will be a Register Here button at the bottom of the event page. This will link you to our Eventbrite registration pages. Online registration is required to register for an event.
Is there a limit for each event?
Most events have limits due to transportation, staff, or third party restrictions.
How do I know if I have a spot for the event I registered for?
You will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite once your online registration is complete. Active KSA staff will follow up with an event details information email a few days before the event.
What happens if I got a spot, but I can't make it?
Please email the Active KSA Coordinator at [email protected] to let them know of your cancellation ASAP in order to give the spot to someone who is on the waitlist.
I am on the Waitlist. What should I do now?
Please wait for us to get back to you with updates. When a spot opens up, Active KSA will contact those on the waitlist in order that they were put on the list. Those who are contacted will have a limited amount of time to reply back before the spot is offered to the next person on the list.
Can I bring my partner, friend, or relative who are non-KPU students to the events?
In some events, you can bring someone who is not from KPU, and when you do, that person will be charged the full cost of the event since only KPU students get the subsidy. If there is a waitlist of students, any non-KPU student's registration may be cancelled.
Can I bring my children to the events?
We advise that you do NOT bring your children to our events. Some of the events that we go on require a minimum age to attend. However, there are some events that are more family friendly. If you do bring your children on an event, you will be required to also attend and be with your children at all times as Active KSA staff are not able to child-mind for you.
How do I get to the event location?
Active KSA tries to keep all events in easily transit accessible areas so that you can get there by transit. For some events, we will rent a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off students on campus. Check out the event details for the How to Get There information.
What kind of events does Active KSA plan?
Active KSA generally plans outdoor and off-campus recreation events. Some examples of events we have are hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding, and kayaking.
What happens when it rains on an outdoor event?
Most of our events happen rain or shine. Active KSA will advise you of the best gear to wear and bring for the weather on the day of the event. In the situation that the weather is worse than was anticipated, the event may be cancelled to ensure safety and you will be contacted. How do I pay for my event registration?
We do our registration online through Eventbrite which allows you to pay for your registration using a credit card.
Can I use cash?
We do not accept cash as a payment method for Active KSA events.
What if I don't have a credit card?
If you don't have a credit card, or don't want to pay online, you can go to a Member Services desk to pay for the event. They accept debit, visa, and mastercard. Once you pay for your registration at Member Services, you will receive a code that you can use when you register online for the event on Eventbrite.
