Shoreline Clean Up - September 21
Join Sustainable KSA and Active KSA for a shoreline cleanup of the Serpentine Greenway adjacent 126 St at the Surrey Campus. We head out from the cafe, rain or shine, to pick up litter and refuse along the greenway. The clean up usually takes us about an hour and a half as we pick up and record what we find. All abilities and fitness levels are welcome. The walk is primarily paved and flat. On our cleanup we've often seen fish, ducks, hawks and local birds along the ponds in the greenway! Everyone is welcome and you do not need to be a student to get involved!
WHEN: Wednesday September 21, 2016. The cleanup is from 2PM-4PM.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: Wear easy to move in clothing and shoes that you can walk on a paved path and in grass. If you want, you can bring work or gardening gloves, however gloves will be provided. Be mindful of the weather and bring the appropriate gear as we will be walking rain or shine.
DEADLINE: Please register for this event by September 19, 2016.
COST: FREE!!
HOW TO GET THERE: We meet up at the Grassroots Cafe on the Surrey campus.
